چکیده

Twin-field quantum key distribution (TF-QKD) and its variants can overcome the fundamental rate-distance limit of QKD which has been demonstrated in laboratory field while their physical implementations with side channels remains to be further researched. We find external modulation different intensity states through test, required those TF-QKD post-phase compensation, shows a channel frequency domain. Based on this, we propose complete undetected eavesdropping attack, named passive shift sending or not-sending (SNS) protocol given any difference between signal decoy domain extended other imperfections distinguishable states. analyze this attack by giving formula upper bound real secure rate comparing it lower secret under Alice Bob's estimation consideration actively odd-parity pairing (AOPP) method finite effects. The simulation results show that Eve get full information about bits without being detected at long distance. Our emphasize importance practical security source might provide valuable reference for implementation TF-QKD.

Compressing quantum mixed-state sources by sending classical information

We consider visible compression for discrete memoryless sources of mixed quantum states when only classical information can be sent from Alice to Bob. We assume that Bob knows the source statistics, and that Alice and Bob have access to the same source of random numbers. We put in an information-theoretic framework some recent results on visible compression for sources of states with commuting ...

Sending entanglement through noisy quantum channels.

This paper addresses some general questions of quantum information theory arising from the transmission of quantum entanglement through (possibly noisy) quantum channels. A pure entangled state is prepared of a pair of systems R and Q, after which Q is subjected to a dynamical evolution given by the superoperator $. Two interesting quantities can be defined for this process: the entanglement fi...

Se p 19 98 Sending quantum information with Gaussian states

1 Information characteristics of a quantum channel During the last couple of years an impressive progress has been achieved in the theory of transmission of classical information through quantum communication channels (see [8] for a comprehensive survey). The problem of sending quantum information is much less understood; we refer in particular to the papers [10], [2], [1], initiating the study...

Sending signals dynamically.

Proteins mediate transmission of signals along intercellular and intracellular pathways and between the exterior and the interior of a cell. The dynamic properties of signaling proteins are crucial to their functions. We discuss emerging paradigms for the role of protein dynamics in signaling. A central tenet is that proteins fluctuate among many states on evolutionarily selected energy landsca...

Linear Transceivers for Sending Correlated Sources Over the Gaussian MAC

We consider the problem of sending two correlated random sources over a Gaussian multiple-access channel. The sources are assumed to be temporally memoryless. The performance criterion is the MSE and we seek linear transceivers that minimize it. When the bandwidth expansion factor is unity, it is shown that uncoded transmission is the best linear code for any SNR. When the bandwidth expansion f...
